When a band comes to me and says that their first record is going to be 2 tracks and clocking in at over half an hour, I get stoked. Vow are a fantastic Manchester based black metal/sludgey/noisey/powerful band. playing only a handful of shows and using what can only be described as vicious backline I knew it would be a lot of fun to have them in the studio.
A lot of amps and pedals later and we had a pretty nasty thick sounding record. Stand out moment has to go to the euro rack granular synths however. These are beautiful. running guitar signals/vocals/whatever into them to create textures to drop into the tracks where appropriate was amazing.
