This record got out of hand really quickly. It started as a demo, and soon had 10 different musicians contributing to it, so we spent more time on arrangement than usual to make sure that everyone could be heard.
I think we recorded in 6 different locations, from my studio, to a super hi-end Neve studio, to a practice room and finally the bedroom and living room of my house.
As with all Pijn projects, conveying the emotion was more important than a perfect performance or a perfect sound. At least that’s what I keep telling myself.
